Frequently Asked Questions

Minimum Order Quantities (MOQs)

Our minimum order quantities start at just 1,500 units per product — one of the most accessible minimums in the industry. That applies across formats (capsules, tablets, softgels, gummies, powders, liquids) and to our ready-to-brand private label catalog, making it practical to launch a new product or test a new SKU without committing to high-volume production. As your brand grows, the same facilities scale with you to high-volume runs.

Manufacturing & Facility Oversight

We disclose the manufacturer after a signed purchase order and deposit are in place. At that point, you’ll have full visibility, and we’re happy to facilitate a direct introduction if desired. We’ll gladly provide all relevant certifications including FDA registration and GMP certifications for your records. The manufacturer selected is based on your formula, goals, and run size. Once a facility is selected, we aim to keep that consistent unless there’s a strategic reason to switch, which we’d always discuss with you first. If anything ever needs to shift due to raw material or capacity constraints, we’ll let you know far in advance.

Quality Systems & Documentation

TurnKey manages all quality protocols in partnership with the manufacturer. You’ll receive the COA directly from us from the manufacturer. Full formal stability testing is available and is at customers expense, but not required to move forward. In the event of an audit or recall, TurnKey takes the lead on coordinating documentation, communication, and corrective actions with the manufacturer and authorities. All manufacturers that Turnkey H&B partners with, have SOPs in place based on FDA regulations for recall actions.

Formulation Ownership & IP

You retain full ownership of your formula. While we don’t share raw ingredient sourcing details, the formula itself belongs to your brand. We do not offer or reuse your formulation with other clients. If another client brings a similar concept to us independently, we can’t prevent ingredient overlap, but your specific formulation is never offered to others. Please Note: This of course does not prevent other brands from using the same ingredients and anyone can copy your Supplement Fact Panel and take it to another manufacturer to make. You may try to use your formula as a Proprietary Blend, that may offer some protection, but generally most consumers want transparency.

Communication & Client Prioritization

All communication runs through TurnKey, but you’re welcome to speak directly with the manufacturer whenever helpful. We just ask to be looped in to keep everything organized and aligned. Due to our buying power and relationships with the owners of each of our manufacturing partners, this assures that your job is competitive and gets priority like our larger brands.

Cost Structure & Long-Term Pricing

The price you’ve received reflects the base manufacturing cost — you’re not paying more for your product, you get our full suite of services included. Our buying power and long-standing relationships across our manufacturing network keep your pricing competitive from the first run onward. We work hard to keep pricing stable and will always alert you in advance of any raw material or packaging shifts based on changes in the economy. Freight is quoted separately, and any fulfillment or storage services are optional and transparently priced. Customers are responsible for purchasing their own labels and this cost is not included in Turnkey H&B quotes.

Inventory Ownership & Transition Planning

Any inventory that’s been paid for is fully owned by you. If you ever decide to pause production or transition elsewhere, we’ll support that and ensure a clean handoff of applicable and relevant information. Batch records are proprietary information of the manufacturer.

Compliance & Regulatory Guidance

Compliance with claims ultimately falls to the brand, but we provide a final label quality check to ensure your Supplement Facts Panel is accurate and that your label language is appropriate and compliant. (FDA 21 CFR 111). If needed, we also offer FDA attorney access at a low cost to help with more complex label reviews or international compliance. If any issues arise, we’ll flag them and help you resolve them quickly during the QC process with the manufacturer.
